Trademark

Check your name, choose your classes, and prepare your own USPTO filing. This is education and guidance, not legal advice — for anything tricky, talk to a trademark attorney.

Choose your classes

The USPTO sorts every product and service into 45 classes. Classes 1–34 are goods; classes 35–45 are services. You pay a fee for each class you file in, so file in the ones you actually use.

Examples: Class 25 is clothing. Class 35 is advertising and business services. Class 41 is education and entertainment. Class 42 is software and tech services. Class 43 is restaurants and lodging.

Look up exact wording in the USPTO's ID Manual (idm-tmng.uspto.gov). Tell your coach what you sell and ask which classes fit.
